I just finished the 50 hour fluid and filter check in my B7510.
The manual calls for 4.04 gallons(rear Transmission) . I put exactly 4 gallons in and checked the stick. It is at least an inch++ over the top line on the stick.
Has anyone else faced this??
I put the loader back on ran it let it sit and still the level seems pretty high.
Should I drain some? If so which of the 4 ports should I use?
Does Kubota know about this ?/
Thank you all !!

Unlike engine oil, you can fill to the brim. The headspace indicated by the "full" mark allows for worst-case heat expansion (you add refrigerated fluid and go right to nonstop heavy work in a heatwave tropical noon). ....

That mark is almost impossible to hit. I did exactly the same thing when I changed mine, found the fluid to be excessive after I ran the machine so parked it overnight to cool. Drained some the next day to hit the mark, ran the machine again and it was too low. Put some more in, ran the machine and it was too high again. Left it too high by about half an inch or so. ....

The interesting thing is that my dealer here in CT is using the same numbers I am? I would think that Kubota would correct the manual if indeed we are overfilling these units.
My main concern was damage (warranty) to the HST. There is plenty of room for expansion in the rear case as I can see the gears exposed when you look into the rear fill port. The vent oveflow is also perfectly dry.
I even hoped that attaching the loader would have altered the level somehow. I guess it is back to Hydraulic 101!

My BX2200 was the same way. Also check to be sure they didn't put the wrong dipstick in the machine from the factory. I heard of this happening a couple times. Also, I assume you changed the filter. ( don't take this the wrong way) If you didn't change the filter then the 4 would be too much. ....

I changed the two filters and checked the screen. I wonder if the dipstick is for the wrong tractor? I drained about 3 quarts and I am now within a 1/2 inch of the top fill line.
I will drive it a bit then check it again. I am going to try to get a hold of the Kubota tech folks to make sure that the dipstick is not too long.
Cheers,

Just wondering, did you drain your fluid into any kind of tank where you could measure the amount that was removed from the tractor? I think most of us would be using a set up where we should be able to tell very close the amount that was drained. If you check the fluid level and then drain it, makes it simple to know how much to fill it back up to get back to that level. kt ....

If the manufacturer says the capacity is 4.04 gallons, I start checking the dipstick after I have put in 3.5 gallons. That way I can fill it properly and take into consideration any fluids left behind. I then would start the the tractor cycle the hydraulics and check it again.
I have always done it that way with engine oil as well, I look at the capacities as a guidance for the qty to be on hand to do the change not the amount to be poured in without checking. ....

I removed the two filters and removed all four drain plugs. I thought for sure the front and rear case were empty after 30 minutes of draining.
I have now re-drained 3 qts and am within an eighth on an inch of the top fill line.
It would seem 4.04 is a little much. I have been trying to get hold of the Kubota Folks to verify where the "capacity" numbers come from .
WE shall see...
Cheers,
